The gravel season closes in the Ozarks. Big Sugar rolls out of downtown Bentonville into the bluffs and hollers of Northwest Arkansas and Southern Missouri — sharp, loose, rarely maintained gravel that eats tires and punishes the overconfident, stitched together with fast paved connectors and the occasional water crossing. As the traditional Life Time Grand Prix finale, it draws the deepest pro field of late-season gravel, and the 100's punchy grades pack in more than 6,000 feet of climbing. The 50 and 25 trace the same chunky character in shorter arcs, and every route finishes where it started: on the square in Bentonville. Support crews are welcome only at the 100's two checkpoints — Pineville and the Rockford Grange — so plan to carry what you need between stops.
